There is hope....

Just wanted to let the community know there is hope your percs will eventually host an anemone. I had my "tank raised" black false percs since they were babies a year ago. I introduced a Sebea anemone about two weeks ago, and the percs completely ignored it. Woke up this morning to find both male and female happily nestled in the Sebae! It was definitely worth the wait...it is one of the coolest things to watch. Have patience, keep your water quality pristine, let the anem settle where it wants in the tank, and prepare for a really cool show.

Yeah I also had some tank raised black ocellaris clowns. I had them in my 55g. They didnt show any interests into my gbta or my haddoni for a months or so. One evening they were swimming around my haddoni. Well they tried it and ended up carpet food. I tried 3 tank raised clowns and the carpet ate them all. So I had to go the wild caught route. I wish I still had them but I am glad someones using my carpet now.

My tank-raised Ocellaris hosted in my RBTA day one and are always in it. It's cute to see two tiny clowns happily swimming in their home.

Thanks for the words of encouragement....this site is great....couldn't have done it without all the great info. AquaReeferMan.....are you saying a carpet anem actually ate your ocellaris?
