we are making our tank the size will be,10 ft long ,30 inches high,
36 inches deep

we will be using starfire glass for the front panel

what would be the right thickness of the glass to use ?

thanks

I would imagine that a tank of that proportion would need to by acrylic. If you used glass, starphire at that, it would be a minimum of 3/4.

This is really not valid information.

First as you go larger many use glass

My tank which is 120x36x30 is 1/2 starfire on 3 sides and 3/4 bottom

3/4 down on the page

the thicker the better. "they" say, once you get over 30 inches deep, the weight(read : pressure) really starts to multiply. I'm looking at 28 inch sheet of glass and I want 3/4"

The builder of my tank has the exact tank in his home for 15 years now ...thats good enough for me. There comes a point that people go soooo far like in stands that can handle 4 tanks. I agree if you can afford it go for it.

thanks

thanks

all i can get here locally is 3/4 starfire so will go with that all around thanks all,

nyvp, thats my tank will post some pics as soon as i recieve the glass thanks
