Thieves caught in the act!!!

Logiq-Well I assumed that since you came to our meeting and are hanging around on our boards that you were interested in forming a friendly relationship with the members of the club.Continuing to make sarcastic remarks to someone who most of these club members hold in high regard is not the way to do that. You've been asked not to return to the store I would hate to see you get asked not to return to our meetings...

Easy Jon.... Life's too short.

Tristan and Richard will resolve their dispute, one way or another, but that's their deal.

Forgive and forget. They had a mis-understanding. These bustards that Richard is talking about are REEEAL A$$HOLS!

Im all for forgive and forget. But this guy is still taking stabs at our friend -------> "You should have pulled your gun out on them". And to do it in our public forum makes it a public affair.

I talked to Logiq today by phone and he's a nice guy, was nice at the meeting too. He wants to be involved in our club and be friends with everyone. He loves the hobby and want to help us grow the club and promote the hobby. He's got some good ideas as well. I think the issue that happened will soon be resolved, and I hope everyone can put it behind them. As far as his comment on the thread, I kinda took it as dry humour, poking fun at what happened, and not saying it seriously.

Indeed , well thats poor taste for humor.
I had hoped he was going to be an asset for the club too.
The employees at Memfish certainly feel mistreated and it just seems a little brash to be joking about something that serious.
Do what you like but I think repeatedly being disrespectful to someone should always be treated with a rebuke.

Rumor has it that it has been resolved off line (or is well on its way), where it should be handled, so I think we can drop it and put it behind us.

Okay, everyone put your hands on your computer (dry them off first if you are taking them out of your aquarium) and sing kumbaya.....:lolspin:

P.S. - tran901 - PM me and I will explain the religious term kumbaya for you...if I remember correctly you are an atheist :strange: so you may not know that it is a religious song where christian folk hold hands and sit around a fire (maybe sit around an aquarium in this case) and sing this feel good song....means come by here my Lord....:reading:

He's not really an atheist. God does not believe in atheists so they don't exist!

I am not sure if that is really funny, a jab a religion, or a really deep commment..I will have to think about that one... I chuckled at that "God does not believe in atheists" if you had just stopped there...it is the "..so they don't exist" that is making me ponder...lol

And for the record he did not say he was an atheist it was a jab at a previous comment he made in a post way back when.....of course I like him either way...lol

Yeah, I didn't think too much of THAT particular little Zinger either myself, but I'm TRYING to take the High-Road here. (Besides, that's between them.)

If anything, this thread only supports Ricahrd's rationale for protecting his interests, which (Of Course) I do wholeheartedly support.

Let's debate halides vs t5's and really stir this thread up ... Lol

Well I guess it depends on what you have in your tank? I have mostly softies and LPS and don't think MH is worth the extra $$ in investment, electricity, chillers, etc., for me.

Since you have SPS MH is probably better over T5's....

Now when you bring in LED's I am not sure if it is better in all cases if money is not an issue?

here is my take, i replied earlier that i am almost 90% positive that i know one of them, but know one pm'ed me to get specifics or info( i am in florida) and looking at the clarity of that camera, i can almost id that guy. but here is where the problem can be solved( as to not happen again) seeing how i owned a business in memphis before selling it
first-----spend a little more money on a better system( one that zooms in on customers from at least 50 feet away---costly but worth it)
second----every employee should not be bagging fish, one should be monitoring door areas, i.e stocking, cleaning shelves---that deters criminals
three----i am not taking jabs, i am sorry this happened, but someone needs to be in the back looking at the store( i.e owners or investors) from the camera to abort these types of issues. is it more payroll, ---yes maybe,,,, is it worth it to keep criminals away----YES. cause now they will see that the store is secure and they wont chance it again. they are going to try again at the busiest times of the week, i guarantee it, it was too easy for them so they will try again, this time with more $$$ merchandise

this type of activity needs to be stopped no matter the cost to protect a business, we do the same for our homes, why not the business that pays for it

IMO...there are very few, if any, LFSs that could afford to have an employee to monitor a surveillance system... if they can even afford the cameras!

if t5 are expensive, its time to hide everthing in display cases. boring.
i wonder if they sell, use themselves, or a crazy idea, grow something for profit?? hope u catch them
also hd cameras are getting cheaper. if customers see it might not be a bad thing.
