Thin walled PVC pipes - where to get them ?

I see standard schedule 40 pipes in every home-improvement store, but they are designed for very high pressures (for example 450PSI for 1" pipe). We do not need pipes for such pressures!

I have noticed the pipes used in commercialy available overflow kits (like Oceanic/AllGlass MEGAFLOW) are very thin walled pipes...
For example, their 3/4" OD pipe has 0.950" ID end wall thickness less than 0.060" - compare to:

SCH40 3/4", ID: 0.824", wall thickness: 0.113"
SCH40 1/8", wall thickness: 0.068" - you got the picture.

The bottom line is that their 3/4" pipe has a similar inside diameter to a standard SCH40 1" pipe occupying less space giving also much less resistance to water flow...

All is great, and I would prefer using such pipes over SCH40, but WHERE CAN I GET SUCH THIN WALLED 1" or 3/4" PVC PIPES ?

Anybody knows? :D

I have heard it is called schedule 26. I am not completely sure. I have looked for it at Lowes and HD and could not find it. I even asked several of there employees and they always said "never heard of it"

This is the 1" thinwall "200 PSI" I got from HD compared to sched 40.

Cool! This is exactly what I am looking for. In my HD or Menards here in West suburbs of Chicago there is no pipe with thin wall like this. Have to find more specialized plumbing supply store.

I have found specs for standard names and pipe diameters:

Looks like SDR-21 pipes 1" or 3/4", 200PSI is what I am looking for. Thanks everybody.

I leave in Wheaton IL and my Ace hardware carries it all the time. Try them, my only complaint is my pvc cutter won't cut the thin wall stuff so I have to use a hack saw instead.

Thanks for the tip, I will check ACE in Wheaton - not very far from me - usually I avoid these stores due to their crazy prices but this time I give them a chance. ;)

A week ago I bought a 10 ft pipe for under $4 if that helps it was at the Ace on east loop which is off Naperville rd about 3/4 mile north of Butterfield rd

I work in an irrigation warehouse, its called "class 200" and it is mainly used for sprinkler systems, its hard to cut with regular "rachett" cutters, but these cut through it like butter lol... just spin it a little while your cutting

For those in NoVA, I was just at the Lowes in Sterling. They have .75", 1" and 1.25" thinwall.
