Things are finally happening! Now questions

A couple weeks back I posted about a crack in my tank, as luck would have it I found someone selling the exact same tank on craigslist so I'm back in action.

Couple questions as I'm looking to start buying some hardware:

What size RO/DI system is recommended for a 75 gallon tank, in terms of GPD?

Curious about lights, this is going to be a reef tank and I'm going to buy T5's but should I buy a fixture that spans the entire length of the tank or will the center brace on top cause a weird shadow? I do have a canopy that's not pictured and I want to put some kind of mesh/netting to keep fish from jumping, should I put that around the inside of the canopy or do I then need to worry about fish jumping into the lights?

75GPD is fine. Depending on your water you might think about an extra carbon filter for chlorine and chloramines.

You can make your own screen for the tank top. Look up aquarium do it yourself screen tops. Kits are avail.

If you are going to use a canopy when you are shopping for lights be sure to check the recommendations as to how high above the surface of the water the lights need to be.
I had to customize my canopy because my lights needed way more clearance than I originally had.

Hi.....I have a 80 gallon and use a 100gpd RODI unit....and it has worked fine for me... Don't forget the TDS monitor...I had a hand held one...but just bought a digital one and hooked it up to my RODI unit...I love it so far....

I can't answer your light question...I don't have a canopy....Instead I have a screen top...and use 2 EchoTech XR15 Radions LED lights...my tank is 4 ft long, but only 16 inches deep... corals and clam are all doing great.....

I use a aqua life reef buddy, 4 stage RODI, on my 70g, makes more than enough water which I store in a large Rubbmaud Brute Garbage can....cost 100, Amazon delivered.

Thanks everyone apparently I'm just overly paranoid about shadows lol.

Another question been looking at pumps for flow today, with head loss my return should be at about 600 GPH, then I was going to buy 2 Tunze nano 6025's at 740 GPH each for a total of 2,080 GPH which is about 28x my tank size(75G). I'm planning a mainly LPS tank does that sound like it should work?
