Things are heating up in my tank (86degrees!)

Not too sure if anyone said it before me, but did you check to see if your heater is stuck on?

i have heard some knowledgeable ppl advise keeping percs at around 82-83 degress. my tank stays between 80-82 and its been doing great. i dont have many sps though. and no percs either not yet.

I've seen tanks in the mid 80's do fine but your tank should not fluctuate more than 4 degree with 2 being on the safe side.

Haha, yeah the red light goes off and I haven't noticed it on in a week or so after it warmed up, but I guess that doesn't necessarily mean it is not heating.

would that 200 dollar chiller work with a 75 at all? says its rated for 20 hehe. im going to need something soon for my tank to cool and the fans i have keep rusting. anyone got any good links to good clip on fans? planning on putting it in the sump
