Things growing on clam

Good morning. I've had a Maxima clam for about 5 months. There are small white pods on the outside lip that open up and have hairy threads ...can someone tell me what these are and if I need to remove them..I just took a picture but it's dark and not a very good one.

Don't zoom in so far, that picture is terrible!!

Maybe pineapple sponges? But again, that pic is terrible.

I think the sizes too big because all my good pictures keep failing I'll try this one I know it's not much better

Could this possibly be what your seeing? That second pic is even worse. lol

It's possible but it looks a little different. When they open up they almost look like grass or a small sea anemone except their arms are very thin like a weed
