Thinking about a Mantis

Whats up all!!!

I am a new user to the forum and I have read alot of your comments. I am thinking I would like to set up a 40 gal mantis tank, but I was wanting an orange, black, or yellow colored Mantis is there any hope in finding a color or should I just be lucky to find one???? Also so I am pretty sure there are species that have spears and apecies that have clubs. Do the species that have spears also have some sort of clubs??

they either has a club or spear, i have never seen a picture of a spear mantis before so i dont kno what they look like. u should get a acrylic tank and a peacock mantis

Ithought about it there is a place that is close to my home town and they have a 7 inch peacock mantis for 35$ bucks, I could probably get it for 30$. I just wanted to know what else is out there.

Nothing else in that size range and as colorful is currently available at LFS.

Just a thought for you, if the mantis is already that big, it is toward the end of its lifespan. You can get a smaller peacock and it should live much longer. The most available mantises are peacocks and N.Wenn, everything else is hit or miss.

hey i have both a 10 gallon and a 20 gallon am looking for a mantis anyone have one that I can grab off of ya ?
