thinking about getting some clams

I have been considering the idea of getting a few clams now that my angel is removed, and was wondering when is the best time to add them and what diseases I should look for?

I have 8 T5 bulbs about 6" form the surface of my tank, and my tank has been set up for around 5 months (set it up in late april). I would eventually like to end up with 3-5 clams in the tank tank of varying colors and species, probably going to end up with a gold maxima, a blue/ green crocea, a blue maxima and either a derasa or squamosa. which order should I add them in?

what are the watts on the bulbs?

what sort of tank is it now- mixed reef, sps, softies... are you just converting from FOWLR?

It wont matter what order you put them in. I would add one then get another in a week or two. Monitor your calcium and alk. changes if any. And adjust doseing of whatever as needed. Should see a change w/ one but once you several in there you should see an increassed demand.

If the tank is older than a year than im sure it handle a clam

the watts of the bulbs are 54? watts each, and the tank is five months. I dont plan to add a clam for another few months.

I am planning to eventually have an SPS and LPS dominated tank, as well as a few softies, some mushrooms, zoas and an anemone. I also have a few fish (wrasses, firefish, a YWG and clowns. adding a blenny and some more gobies soon).

whic ones? I have a cerpenter and a yellow that I will soon be trying to remove.

I was planning to add 1-2 blennies, I will be choosing from the following species (from mst to least likely) lawnmower, bicolor, starry, tailspot, red spotted, midas, linear blenny
