Thinking about moving

I'm originally from Iowa and after my last visit I am thinking about attending my second year of community college in Sioux City and then finishing at one of the universities. Right now I am just trying to get a feel for the reefing community you guys have.

We currently have a strong reefing community in the Des Moines, Iowa City, and Waterloo areas. The western side of the state is a little slower, but we do have a few people for the west that drive in to some of the meetings.

For your last year of CC it would be quite a drive, but when you attend one of the Universities, say ISU for example , you would be much closer.

We will have meetings every month or so, bouncing between DSM and Iowa City. There's also local events in each of the three areas mentioned above. We'll have frag auctions and major speakers around each year. We also have tank tours and pizza now and then.

I have a bunch of family in Sioux City and I will need all the help I can get after moving cross-country. BTW Hawkeyes all the way!!! :lol:

Except for these few years when I was there. There's a generation of Hawks that don't know victory. Plus forget about getting an actual education at UofI.

not to guid you elsewhere, but dont forget to look at the siouxfalls board and the omaha board.....

there are clubs in both of those cities and siuox falls is just a hour at most from sioux city .....

however if their boards are an example of the amount of trafic then they are not in the class of members as GIRS ....

if you dont mind my asking where are you returning from?
