Thinking of a zoo and ricordia tank?

I have seen many great colorfull zoo and ricordia tanks. However, I never knew that this is a very toxic concept. Moreso than a mixed reef?

What danger is involved?

What can be done to keep toxic levels low. After reading this forum I am afraid to try.

Well the only matter is to give space between them so they dont bug each other i have some ricordia only area but cause of big piece of LR issues i had to put some zoas next to the ricordia spot and they are doing ok no toxic warfare at all i thing they will do fine just give them enough space inbetween and they will be ok and have in mind that when they rics are settle in your tank can spand 2-3 the size when you got them so give alot of space..

ddd to you :)

Could you elaborate on your toxicity fear? Is it regarding zoas/rics attacking each other? Releasing toxings into the water column? The danger to the reefer?

There are a lot of warnings on this board but it shouldn't be a reason to not keep them. It should serve as more of a keep in mind. Sort of like the "Caution Contents May be Hot" on the coffee cups.

The only time that I am weary about the toxins is when I am fragging my zoas, especially the larger palys. They can and will squirt when they are being cut, so protection during this is important.
