Well, i am thinking of an anemone one day (probably early next year since that will be around the 8 month old tank mark as well as me getting more experiance along the way).
I also plan on upgrading my tank from a 20 gallon to something like a 40 gallon tank in the near future, probably next summer, thats one of the reasons why i want to start small because i dont want it to grow really big in a small tank.
At the moment it is a coral reef tank but when it comes time when i want to get an anemone i will sell all my corals so it will be a tank with 2 clownfish and an anemone with live rock.
Currently my tank is a 20 gallon, i got a brain coral, a candy cane frag, a torch coral frag, and some zoas. I also have 2 O. Clownfish. I do plan on going bare bottom one day since i want to have the cleanest tank possible, especially cause its a nano. It has a tunze nano skimmer, a hydor koralia 2 (which i will wrap some sponge or something over it and clean the sponge like 2-3 times a week) and if i need more flow i also have a MJ-600 and an MJ-1200 at my disposal.
My question is what anemone would be good for my tank and do anemones like pristine water like that of the berlin method tanks (which i plan on doing, high flow, lots of live rock, no sand, and heavy skimming) or do they like slightly dirty water? Do some like dirty some like clean etc. I wont get an anemone until im positive i can upgrade into a 40 gallon one day. Oh and as a final note, i dont care if my clowns host or not so i dont need a O. Clown hosting anemone.
I like condy anemones and carpet anemones the most although i have heard that carpets are hard to keep. But really i like all anemones, i thought that a torch coral and/or frogspawn will look like an anemone enough for me so i wouldnt get one but its not working, i really like anemones and want to try one out one day.
