Thinking of two gobies; two shrimp needed?

I'm still planning out my tank. It will be around 11 gallons and I will be getting at least one goby/pistol shrimp pair. If I get a second goby do I need to get a second pistol shrimp as well?

Yes, you should try for a pair of gobys with a shrimp

You do not necessarily need two shrimp. We have had Dracula gobies, yasha gobies, yellow watchman gobies, and magnificent gobies share a pistol shrimp with another gobie on the list above of a different species.
You can also look for a true pair of yashas, high fin gobies, yellow watchmen, etc.

Yasha pairs are occasionally on liveaquaria.
