Thinking Zoa

I'm starting to think about adding zoas to my tank but one thing I've noticed is that everyone seems to have them situated on individual rocks... Do you need to do that or can you put them on a live rock set up...I've read they spread quickly, so I was wondering if that was the reason for separate rocks....

You can put them on your rockwork or keep them on their own rubble or plug, whichever way you prefer

I have placed them on the main rockwork because my aim was for more of a natural look with large zoa beds... the drawback is finding ways to stem the flow of a fast growing zoa.. I've had to razor blade sections away, because I haven't got rockwork that can be removed and fragged without serious risk for catastrophe in the tank.
