Really cool idea. Awesome pictures. Nothing beats seeing these things out in nature with the millions of fish swimming through them.
 
First, propagation is all good whichever technique. I prefer the reefballs. I think they'd be more stable over time and able to resist corrosion (and inevitable implosion) and tipping (storms, etc). No, I'm not a stock owner, but reefballs are built to last and become part of the environment, where reefscapers are really desined as temporary growht beds that should be harvested, IMHO. It should be remembered that ships used to build reefs to disintegrate. After 100 years, the titanic (in far colder more preserving depths) is doing the same. lesser hulls in warm water will not last 30 years. Earthen ware is the way to go.
