Good Morning,
I am not new to SW or reef. Had a 75 gal 6 yrs ago which failed due to a massive outbreak of algae most likely due to my use of tap water. I plan on starting again and want to do it the right way this time. I noticed your New Tank Thread was from 2003. Alot must have changed since than. Can you give a quick overview on the current thoughts in the hobby. Such as what is best dsb, ssb or bb. New light technology. Refugiums. Anything else that might help a somewhat newbie out in succeding in this great hobby. Any books on start-up you might recommend.
Please keep to 50 words or less.Just kidding.
HAHA
Thanks Dom

Hi Dom,

You happen to be in luck because we have--
The Newbie Corner's--Reefkeeping 101
going on as a series. Currently we have-
Water
Tank Selection & Placement
Lighting
and
Sumps this month's <b><a href="http://reefkeeping.com" target="_blank">Reefkeeping Magazine</a></b> column by Marc.

Also look in my sticky Look Here for Answer for more...well answers. ;)

I haven't written any new stuff for LR and DSB but it should be appearing by early spring. I still favor a DSB over the barebottom approach but both systems have their merits.
