I wonder what sort of biological design has to be present in such a creature to cope with the pressures experienced at a depth of 2000 foot below sea level. Wow!

so crazy... kinda creepy. too bad it died =( Look at its eyes, all fogged over looking. Think that's cuz it's sick? Or that's just how it is?

Yes, most deep sea creature's bodies are composed of mainly water. They also can see, but very limited. There is lots of bioluminescent light to keep track of. As an added bonus for the Frilled Shark, it's a Condricthyes. That means its skeleton is made out of cartilage (with the exception of the jaws and teeth).
 
Actually depending on species depends on the level of ossification of the skeleton. Most are quite cartilagenous.
