Im So Confused!
So i got home from work tonight and went over to the tank to see how it was doing and check on my little guys. Anyways, all appeared ok and i checked my levels and all is ok. so i went and was watching tv and browsing the net, i got up a few hours later, walked by the tank and i didnt see my yellow watchman goby. Now Bigbird (goby) is always near his rock and ventures out every so often. So i took a look through the tank, behind a few rocks, up top, under his rock and nothing. I saw a trail from my fight conch that went over to his rock but then away. i start tearing the tank upside down looking for him. I know these guys are known to jump but i have a lid. so i went down below and pulled my filter sock out and found him in there. i quickly took my little tub i keep near and put tank water in it, carefully pulled the sock out and dumped him in the tub then put him right in the tank. i sank right to the bottom, barely breathing. he isnt yellow anymore, more of a gray color, i got him to move a little to get some water flowing through his gills and he went under a rock and settled in the sand. I turned the lights back out so i could get his stress level back down. My question is, is there anything else i can do for him? think he will make it? the sock was dirty and was in need of changing (which i did).
oh and yes i have eggcrate box to keep fish out of the overflow but he is able to fit through the hole, now i gotta come up with something else to keep bigbird out.
