This may be a stupid question

Will my pets go blind? I have a cat and about to get a great dane and I am wondering if the light from my MH will make them blind? it's a rimless aquarium and a haning pendent. I put shields on it but if you as small as a cat or a great dane laying down it could be hazordous? Or am I just worrying about nothing?

Physically possible...maybe. But i dont think your pets are dumb enough to sit there and stare at the light for any extended period of time. I wouldnt worry too much.

I suppose if anyone stared into a halide light long enough, they would go blind.
