Does anyone have a purple rimmed monti cap they would like to trade. I have a couple of different montipora digi's, and a yellow striata. I will look and see what else I have that I can break a frag off of if anyone is interested in trading things. Also I have an abundance of yellow polyps and gsp again to give away. Also it would seem everyone has plenty of caulerpa and cheato, but if anyone needs some please post. I hate to bring it down just to have it thrown out, since the single lfs here is always needing extra macro.

i hope to make the meeting. i'd be interested in some of the cheato. possilby the gsp also.

just starting (8 weeks) out with a 30 g.

I'll take any extra macro's anyone has. Our macro growth here has slowed quite a bit since we started dosing the Prodibio.

From what Prodibio users have reported on RC, macro will need to be removed eventually when dosing Prodibio because of the low nutrient environment you are creating. Macros and nuisance algae will not be able to obtain sufficient nutrients to thrive and will decline. You may want to move them to another system where Prodibio is not being dosed.

OT, but somewhat related....

Can someone ID this please? Is this a Corky Briareum Sea Finger?? I have had it for years (bought from the "old" Atlantis) and not sure what it is. It does not only grow like a sea whip, but spreads over nearby surfaces.

Next question, I would like to trade some of this for something??? .... SPS, bright yellow or neon green leather, montipora (I have yellow and red monti), ...just for a few ideas - I dunno.

The coral below has grown over a clam shell about 5" across in size and is thick with pink polyps as you can see in the pic.

I've been able to successfully keep it directly under a 400 watt MH with high water flow. I have a few more daughter colonies of this and have been able to move them in almost all areas of the tank (light condition and flow) and they have done well. They do seem to prefer medium to high flow and give off a wave action with their polyps.

It is Briareum AKA Encrusting Gorgonian, which is very similar to Erythropodium Caribaeorum. Both are from the Caribbean.
