Don't forget to come on out to Sea In the City this Saturday for ORCA's first swapmeet!

There will be buns with dogs in to eat as well as a place for you to set up your drygoods (no livestock please) to sell trade or come on out to buy and check out the great deals you might be able to find :)

This is my first endeavour planning such an event so I hope its a lot of fun for everyone and you get a chance to get a little back from the hobby we all spend so much on- Just think if you sell a powerhead you don't need you have that much more money to buy the thing for your tank you DO need! Huzzah!

Disclaimer: Its almost 2am in the morning and I worked all day so if this sounds fruity... you can enjoy my insomnia too! Be there or be square!

Its hard to say how many people will be there.

Come check it out...
Hope to see you there.

11am-3pm :) See how many details I leave out when its late at night? :)

ANYONE is welcome.. this is an event for you to be able to get rid of your used equipment or buy used equipment you need and Marcye & Crew at Sea in the City are being so kind enough to host us :) She has an amazing store if you haven't been there yet so you get the best of both dry and wet goods with our event and her store combined :)

Aww well thats a good reason Cham - have great fun at the wedding and best wishes to your brother!

Also if anyone catches this we are providing some tables but it may be a good idea to bring a beach towel or old blanket or something in case we need to sprawl onto the sidewalk. I'll be bringing some of mine to borrow in case anyone forgets.

Gotta love experimental meetings but I think we'll have a great turn out :)

Just another thought...
For those bringing items or hanging out you might want to think about bringing: Sunscreen, Towels, chairs (camping or beach chairs as there may not be enough places to sit) and anything else you can think of to make yourself comfy..
Of course, don't forget to bring $$ for all the stuff you are going to want to buy. :)

If it helps we're renting about 20 chairs and we have a few tables some folks are bringing and we're renting two more- I have NO idea what the turn out will be like so if you can bring your own chairs or tables or what not PLEASE feel free too.

I'm just showing up and providing the food, drinks, and the venue it'll be up to you guys to hawk your wares at each other and be comfy doing so :)

I can't wait~!

does anyone feel its fair to post what we're bringing, or should we just make it all fair and show up with it? I'm coming up from south florida so I hope it's good!

I've got so much stuff I'm bringing...a lot of cool(somewhat desired) items and a bunch of other things I need to get rid of(reef related, of course). I'm sure there will be a lot of awesome stuff. The only thing I think may occur if people start listing is that there will be a lot of pre-saved stuff before the swap meet begins. If christie decides its all gravy on posting what we're bringing, I'll start my list:).

Hey I'd say its great to put a teaser of what you are bringing - BUT i'd also say the actual selling of said items should be first come first serve AT the swapmeet, otherwise whats the point :)

So tease away as long as you are prepared to be mobbed when the event opens at 11 :)
