Personally I'd wait get a few more $$$$ saved and get soething bigger if you have the room. a 55 fills quick ....trust me. If it's all you have to spend it's not a bad deal.

well i had a 90 ang got rid of it about a month ago
I have a 29 Biocube as my reef now im making another tank for fish only not reef

I'll bite. yes it is probably worth $200. Is the tank acrylic or the filters acrylic? I couldn't tell from your first post. Also a strip light is great for fish only, but of course you need more light for reefs. I see an undergravel filter which is also not very useful in a SW setup any longer. Finally, my personal preference is for a 75g tank as it is deeper front to back for more landscaping. Other than that, stand looks nice, I like black backgrounds, and the canopy is a nice touch. HTH

tank is acrylic he also has a HOB filter for it as well
I like 75g to but i dont want big again right noww
just want something to put some fish in and call it a day
no additives no special lights or filters
nice and easy change water and DONE

If that is the case then it is a good deal.

I'd get it, especially since you could make it RR so easily. If you don't get it, pass along the contact info if you don't mind.

I just went through running a 55 for a lil bit and would definitely recommend against it especially if you are doing fish only. The limit on the types and amounts of fish you can keep in a 55 is pretty slim. Besides the foot print of a 75 or 90 isn't much more and will support a highler bio load.

i already had both and just got rid of the 90
want something little smaller
all im putting in a 1 puffer and proably 2 or 3 triggers

Those fish will outgrow that tank very quickly and even if there very small, that will put a big load on that tank (all messy eaters). It won't cost you much more to run a little bit bigger tank than a 55gal., so i'd go back to a 90gal. personally.

I kept 2 triggers and a puffer in a 55gal and they crapped up the water in a hurry! Make sure you got a big skimmer for these fish!

if i run a 55 with a 30 gallon sump thats 85 allons water that should be good ya think it has amost as much water volume as a 90 if i do it that way

Problem is that these fish need swimming room and this tank didn't cut it for my triggers and puffer. That was when they were all less than 5" long......then they grow and grow and eat more and more :)

Unfortunately that 30gal sump won't give the fish any more swimming room. I see that you used to think a 90gal was too big for ya. Once these fish are full grown, I wouldn't put them in anything less than a 180gal or 220gal. But it will be a while before they become "full-grown."

i agree, taht is too much fish for a 55. I had those fish in a 70 and i thought that was too small. Ended up trading the fish as they were definately cramped.
