Those with diamond gobies

The corals that are on the sand do get the worst of it, however, he does cover other corals near the base of my rock wall. I hate him.

i dont dislike mine but ultimatemusky is right they will cover anything in the sand, i have spent about as much time digging stuf out as he spent covering it with sand

i will add that unlike the golden head sleeper or what ever it is called the diamond stays pretty much on the sand bed where the other will take sand all the way to the top and "decorate" rocks and everything else

my diamond Goby has been one of my favorite purchases..

Please keep in mind this tank is FOWLR and 1 yr old

I don't hate mine ..but I do get a little ticked-off at Zippy for burying the clam and cup coral daily....other than that he has been a top notch sand cleaner...wishing my daughter would sweep the floors half as well as he cleans the sandbed...and it is too funny when he picks up things and throws them out of his way
do be careful and cover the back of th tank...had my first one nearly 3 months and he never went to the top of the tank...then he disapperared..found him 2 days later behind the tank dried to the carpet..now I have eggcrate across the back to try to help prevent him from jumping out but also note...it's not 100% jumper proof...there has been a few tales in my area where the goby jumped and got caught in the eggcrate and was cooked from the lighting....haven't seen it happen just heard the tales at the lfs

I have one and it keeps the sand immaculate. It does like to move the sand around and it will kick up a lil sand storm every once in a while. That's the trade off for having a Diamond Goby working the sand bed. Mine doesn't go out of it's way to put sand on Corals, but it will if they are in the sand near it's burrow.

I love mine, but I definitely agree on the eggcrate/netting ( luckily, I heard mine jump out of the tank one night and rescued in time) and getting a turkey baster or something to clear some of the sand off the lower rocks (they WILL be covered with sand... it's just something you get to deal with). But I'm a huge fan... my sandbed looks better than ever and I'm always amused by him setting up in front of my PEPPERMINT shrimp, waiting to be cleaned, while my CLEANER shrimp seems to scare him, lol!

got my diamond goby yesterday awesome fish has already cleaned 1/2 of my tank just making his burrow and moving stuff around. If you want an awesome fish i suggest this one
