FWIW i've tried garlic to get fish eating, it has NEVER worked for me. i also explicitly avoid any food containing it, due to the reasons listed.

There you go - PROOF it doesn't work!

Every time I can't get a new fish to eat I try Mysis and it always works. Proof that it works.

If you get a fish from a LFS and you observed it eating, as you should, and it doesn't want to eat when you get it home, why not just ask the LFS what is was eating and start with that.

I guess this convo has completely turned... This was never a convo around garlic. It was about a very nervous Gold Back Trigger. lol :spin1:

Anyways. He is still hiding. I use a syringe to get food into the hole he is in and from what I can see he is not skinny or anything and seems to peer out and getting more curious.

Would just love that beaut to come on out and swim around.

(The LFS feeds brine, frozen Mysis with selcon BTW since I use to own it)

No. They stopped that. All they have now live is ghost shrimp. Which might work, but the lunare wrasse that is in there with him will most likely make quick work on those.

Kinda my idea but at the same time he is gorgeous. Wouldn't mind having him in my display for atleast a while lol

At up to 14 inches he probably needs a bigger tank, but I don't know how much they like to swim.

he is out and eating frozen with no issues. doesn't really swim much just kinda of hangs out near his hole.

Yes I did for feeding only bed cause I know the LFS quarantine process and how long he was there
