We cut the wall to see where the tank would go.

Here we dug a tunnel under the tile to have plumbing going under the floor and up into the roof (water changes and electricity)

Thanks, I was looking for a reef club in south Florida but was not aware of fmas until a week ago. I live down in Miami

Welcome to the club! :D

Tank looks great.

I also like the glass work you have done with the sump. Great quality.

Wow, very impressive. I love how you hid the overflow in the rockwork. Could you give more info on the the hole you cut in the tile? Where did you run your plumbing too? I also like that you'll be able to see the tank from four sides.

If you look closely on the picture with the hole on the tile you'll notice i had to cut the wall on the other side. Since the tanks width is greater than the width of the wall it replaced i had to compensate for that by cutting about 6-7" of the other wall. Then i did a hole under tank on the floor and made a tunnel by digging under the tile and then passing the plumbing up the wall, into the roof, and routed outside the house. Like this i could do all my water changes from outside the house (i have 2 pipes one for water coming in and one for out)So when i need to do water changes i just close/open a couple valves and im set, no messing around with buckets inside the house and stuff.

The tank is viewable from all the sides. I had the holes drilled in the middle of the tank for this reason. Then i had to carve the rock with a grinder to place it around the overflow and return pipes.

Awesome tank set-up for sure...
Question, who did you buy those amazing looking rics from?
LMK if you'd be willing to sell some or trade? I have a few brains
bigger brains I trade for them....
PM me. :)

Great job, I love the planning that really saves you a lot of work in the long run. Can you provide a link to the sump design, or give us more details?

And welcome to FMAS! We can always use another geek. :)
