Can someone please verify the name of this piece?

Right forum... um, it kind of looks like some type of encrusting montipora with really long polyps. However, the long polyps part makes me think no to the monti idea.

Texture and polyps look like Montipora Mollis. I have never seen a green one. Usually they are purple or orange/red.

Turbinaria eh? Looking at some you may be right, it looks very similar. Just wish I could find pics of some this color to convince me more.

The LFS I bought this from had a massive plate/piece of it for the longest time. One day it finally broke off a piece (which I bought above) so I know its not scoll coral. They had it labled as chalice, but I had a feeling that was incorrect, hence this thread I made.

It's a monti cap for sure. I have one very similar. mine is really small too only like the size of a quarter and I got it in a similar fashion. Broke during a move of a fellow reefer. Mine isn't nearly as neon green but very close. The only thing different about yours is that base is much thicker than mine, so I see why they maybe called it a chalice...not sure now the more I look at it lol.
