25mg/l for the 55g? The only thing in my 265 is corals, and plan on leaving it that way for at least 3 months.
 
Or you can get it from Amazon or possibly your LFS in the predict mentioned above.. New Life Spectrum Ich Shield. Others have had success with certain ebay sellers.

You can leave your 265 fishless and it will clear without treatment. Treat the fish in your 55g QT with CP.. I think 20 mg/l is the more common dose for active infections. So you'd want to measure out about 4.3 grams. One treatment should do it.

Ok, as soon as someone can show me a pic "pretty please" so I get the right stuff Ill next day air it. This has had me so stressed out and i feel even more worse now for using the wrong stuff.
 
So now do I do anything with Cupermine? Can I add this stuff directly to the tank with no side effects with the Cupermine in there? And do I need to take out the rocks that I have in there?
 
you will want to run carbon while you are waiting for the CP to arrive. It's listed in the CP primer as a maybe: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2397496

you can leave the rock in there, but you might get an ammonia spike as it will kill all algae and inverts living on/in it.

I personally ran cupermine, it failed to kill the ich, I didn't remove it with carbon and just dosed NLS Ich shield powder right away without any ill effects to my fish.. but.. better safe than sorry right?

Activity:
In velvet, 10mg/l dose resulted in 100% dinospore inactivity at 48 hrs and 100% cure at 14 days. At a dose of 25 mg/l it took 24 hrs for 100% inactivity.

Dosing:
10mg/l or 40mg/gal bath formulation
50 mg/kg - oral

Duration:
30 days - single dose - Ich
14 days - single dose - velvet

So do I do this in a bucket as a bath or dose according to the 55g tank?
 
you dose the entire aquarium.

You can use a scale, do a search for milligram scale.. you'll find one that can go down to .001 grams for under $20. or you can find one that goes down to .1 grams for under $10.
 
Ok so i found a seller on eBay for the CP and it will be hete Saturday. I also purchased the stuff on Amazon. Should I just fo the CP on Saturday and cancel Amazon? I ordered 50g of CP. I will go to a vitamin store and see if they have a scale.

Ebay CP might not be very pure.. I've heard mixed reports on it.. I probably wouldn't use the Ebay CP at all unless it has some papers that can attest to the purity from a reputable lab.. The problem is it's illegal to distribute Chloroquine in the US without a prescription. The stuff you got on amazon is actually slightly different.. edit: actually I looked it up.. it is chloroquine.. I wonder when the FDA will notice? -I'd guess it's very low priority.. it doesn't have any use in the US really, although it is being tested for treating HIV... not too many cases of malaria here, and there are better drugs for it.

I just took a peek at ebay and only saw 1 seller on there now (used to be a ton) I wonder when the FDA is going to bust him? doesn't matter what you say the use is for, you need a prescription to dispense that drug. It would be like claiming, this pain killer isn't pharmaceutical grade and it's for your fish, so I can sell it on ebay... He likely had to get a prescription to purchase it and now is just re-selling it... You might be fine with that one..

I actually called the guy and he buys it by the gallon tub and dispenses it in gram packages. User name jweage, said he buys it from fish guy or the fish guy, something like that.

So when this stuff comes on Saturday I should use 4.3g of it for my 55 and dose the whole tank? After doing so I should not have to do it again ever? Or in a week? How long does this stuff stay in the system? If my ammonia keep staying up I will be doing 10g changes a day and how will that effect this medicine?
