Thoughts On Fuge?

I am Running a BB tank. Anythoughts on running a fuge in an SPS tank?

Does it have benefits or Negatives? It wouldnt be very large probably 20g at most on a 270g System

Iv always thought it would kind of defeat the purpose of a BB tank.

Probably useless unless you are looking for a place to grow pods and such. That's the only reason I have one as one of my must have fish for down the road is a mandarin.

20 g on a 270 probably will not do much of anything. You can run a fuge without sand.

That was my thought. I have only ever ran 1 fuge before and I ran it on my 40g Breeder but the fuge was about 30g and I am not sure if I ever felt like it did anything good for the system. I just wanted to see what you guys thought of them. IMO it wouldnt be very beneficial for an SPS tank.

A 30 on a 40 probably did quite a bit. It almost doubled the water volume so it added quite a bit of stability.
