Thoughts on Leds

I would love to see what people have used to upgrade the hoods of nano tanks.

I am not an electrisan and there for am forced to buy a pre fabe upgrade or use something like stunner strips. A friend just bought a JBJ 12 and I would like to remove the PCs and replace them with leds. Would stunner strips be suffecent to keep LPS and softes? Has anyone out there given the stunners a shot at keeping corals? Or what would fit in this unit that will grow coral.

Side note for you boys and girls out there that want to have these nanos as small swim tanks check this out: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50192365/ I can tell you they are great for smaller tanks. I just added one white only set and one color changing set to get blue/white. This was added to a 75 gallon cube swim tank but these did give enough light to light up the tank.

I would not use these at all, look at the kelvin level on them 2700K way to low. I think you need to be in the 6500-20000K. 6500K being very yellow and not pleasing to look at and 20000K being very blue. I use AI SOL's and love them but still think they lack some spectrum. I have added 4X54 watt T5's.

I am running 4 stunners over a 10gal and I am able to keep easier SPS, LPS and softies. Dig through ecoxotics FAQ and blogs and you will find lots of feedback on people using their products.
