Thoughts on Sebae being a hybrid?

Doing a little thinking (dangerous I know) if a A. sebae has a body type of a a. polymnus but bears the colors pattern most closely related to A. clarki would it make any sense to figure that somehow a. clarki met an a. polymnus somewhere and breeded to create a. sebae?

I know this may sound crazy but just what I was thinking. If this happens to be the case has anyone tried to recreate this happening much like creating a. leuk with a skunk and a chrysopterus?

if this is the case I have a large gorgeous a.clarki I would be interested in trying this with, only if reasonable. I'm a clown purist, not a nybrid or abnormal strain breeder.

This is a hobby. Give it a try. Which polymnus? The black one or the saddle strain?

Since A. polymnus and A. sebae don't have overlapping ranges, I would think it more likely that the a population of polymnus or sebae (who knows which one came first) became seperated from the main population through geological activity or sea level changes. Once the populations were isolated, natural selection for traits and mutations could have caused the slight differences in color.

Sort of like how Golden trout are very closely related to Rainbow trout, but don't naturally occur in the same California streams.

If I were to attempt it I would have to go with the Black saddle, just a personal preference. We'll see what happens
