I was considering get 4-5 of these guys for my tank but I did a search here on RC but found very little information about them. If anyone has them, I have a few questions. Do they stay where you can usually see them or do they hide all the time? Have yours been pretty hardy? I know the LFS ordered in about 20 of these guys and over half didnt survive the shipping. The ones he does have left are all eating like little pigs though. What other fish do you have with then and do they ever give them any problems? Sorry to be a pain but I really like these little guys but wanted to know some more info before I boguht them! Thanks

Always out in the open. They do seem to have a high shipping mortality rate. They are with a pair of High Fin Antenna gobies, a pair of Helfrich's firefish, a trio of Pink Streaked wrasses, Pygmy Possum wrasse, Spiney Basslet, Lime-stripe goby, and Neon goby,Short-stripe goby.

I bought 9 the day they came in the LFS - only 4 survived.. They hang out in pairs in fairly close proximity to each other in the center front of the tank. I'm thinking about putting 1 pair up for adoption. They don't swim around the tank - they just hang in one spot mostly.

HTH :)

I started with 12 almost 2 years ago.The group seemed to single out and isolate 1 fish at a time.Everyday or so,I would have 1 less fish.Over a period of about 2 months,I ended up with 3 fish-one pair and one single that hangs fairly close the the pair, but has no direct interaction with them.

Mine died off quickly like that, but it was from disease not being picked on by the others - I have never noticed any aggression among mine at all

Marie-
I never actually saw any aggression. It was just the same pattern every day.In the AM,I would have one less fish. The only other fish in the aquarium were 3 little Two Spot Bimaculatus Blennies.
