How much do these guys cost nowadays? My lfs has one for 200... Are they really that expensive? If anyone has one please post your experience on them. If they nibble coral, max size, aggression, etc. Deciding between this and a tailspot. But the tiger looks much more unique. Also... Are blennies jumpers? My tank is open topped.

That sounds quite high for any blenny but I can't say for sure. Try finding. To some online prices to compare. Any fish can jump. At that price id be worried.

I purchased one from DD several months ago for $100.00. Eats most anything that I feed him. I have an open top and haven't had any issues with jumping-though he is an a tank with very peaceful fish.

coolz, i think i seen one like that here, but i thought it was an orange spotted blenny. that one looks similar to a linear blenny which would eat everything and kill everything too. they sell semented blennies around here as golden tiger blennies.

That is one good looking blenny! Would you happen to know if they would do alright in a small nanocube with a small percula and yasha goby in terms of aggression? And it looks like I'll have to wait for DD to get one. I haven't been able to find much information on them.

I looked at one a while back for my nano, but by magenta dottyback is a menace. It looks amazing and gets along with my clownfish though, so looks like I'll have two fish for the next few years ;).

I'd check prices though, 200 might be excessive.

He is with two seahorses, a pair of filefish, a clown goby, a ventralis anthia, a flaming prawn goby and target mandarin. No aggression issues whatsoever. I would think he would be fine with the fish you have.

they are quite expensive from down under. 100$ seems cheap to me, 150-200 for the average LFS is accurate. i haven't seen one on my list for a while, but i use to get them all the time. they are cool blennies for sure.

There was a tiger blenny sitting on DD for about 2-3 weeks but I never went for it because of shipping. DD posted up some nice yuma and a really unique looking shrimp yesterday, so I jumped on it and now a Tiger Blenny is going to be here on Friday! :)

Yup. I saw your vid and that was me asking questions. Mine only accepts spectrum pellets which I'm fine with because pellets are good source of nutrition for him. It did take about 2-3 weeks for him to eat though. Had to try spot feeding several times even though he came from Diver's Den. I did notice that his behavior is very different compared to my tailspot blenny. He prefers to hop from rock to rock rather than swim in the open like other blennies. Would you say that your blenny acts similarly Distractor?
