I do not know what possessed it to do this.
Maybe it just wanted to get up in the world... it's back safely in the sand.

He's hungry! Mine used to do that (getting close to the overflow each and every time) in an effort to feed. Perfectly normal!

Even though I have mesh over the plumbing that goes to my sump I have fished my small tiger tail out of a filter sock twice and out of the refugium once within the last 4 months.

Mine have also split in the tank. I got one very large one from ARC a while ago and one small one that JohnnyC was giving away. When I moved my tank I had one large and two very small ones. Now I think that I have about 4.
