Tiger Pistol Shrimp

Has anyone had any luck with a tiger pistol shrimp? I was thinking of getting one, but can they break glass?
Thanks Gina

I have a tiger pistol shrimp (and another pistol shrimp) and both are doing great. The tiger pistol shrimp hangs out with a randalls goby all the time.

I don't worry about them breaking the glass (I've only heard stories about mantis shrimp doing that). Pistol shrimps create sound by closing one of their claws rapidly, and they are not actually hitting something (like the glass).

They do tend to dig some though.

We have one too and he's pretty cool. Ours is paired up with a white-ray goby and they make one heck of a mess when they decide to move their tunnels. They've got their own tank though so it's no big deal.

tigers are great, just becareful if you buy a pistol that you arent completly sure what exact species it is, i bought a sweet looking orange, blue, and red one. latter finding out that it kills anything it cant get ahold of, it ate 4 1/2 legs off a serpent star that had eight inch long legs, ( dont worry still alive, that was two mnths ago and they are all growing back) blue watchman, six line wrasse, wheelers shrimp goby, two conchs, and who knows what else. he now resides in 1 gallon tank by himselve because he doesnt want to get along.
