Tiger Tail

I haven't seen my tiger in about a week. I know he likes to hang out in one of my rocks. Is this normal? I check my water and it it's fine

ammonia - 0
nitrite - 0
nitrate < 12.5

It is normal for them to disappear for awhile. Occasionally they reproduce by splitting. This is usually done in hiding. So dont too suprised if two come out. If there's enough food around they're also known to just plant themselves under a rock and reach out occasionally to eat.

How long have you had it, and can you describe your tank?

I forgot to document the actual date, but it's been about a month or so. Every few days I would see him poking out of a hole and on occasion he would roam around near that same rock.

Ok, here goes...55g setup since May. I have 90 lbs of fiji rock with fish and corals( xenia, mush, LPS ). I usually do weekly 10% water changes, but this past one I let for for 2 weeks. Trying to figure out the best method and how the tank holds CA, ALK, PH. I do feed once a day, but feed a little on the heavy side to help out the filter feeders, shrimp, etc. I have about 1300GPH of flow and a bak pak 2R skimmer. Oh, and a 4 gallon fuge w/ macro. I have a DSB in both fuge and display.

Fish load:
2 true percs
1 lawnmower blenny
1 YWG
1 coral beauty
1 firefish, one tried to jump from QT to the display.

The setup sounds suitable for a cuke, I would give it alittle more time. Its either dead and there's little you can do for it now, or it's hiding and there's very little you can do.

Ok, the tiger has yet to come out all the way. From time to time I'll see part of him inside one of my rocks. Tonight I seen him and he was a lot darker then he was normally. Anything to be conserned about?
