Tile for egg laying questions

Just want to make sure before I place a pc of ceramic tile in my tank. Does the color of the tile matter? Will the color leach out?

I am not sure or not, but my tile is white, has been in the tank for a couple of years now, hasn't leached. My clarkii pair spawn on it every 3 weeks or so. Before I sold my GSM pair, they used theirs (also white) for 2 years.

I always use tan colored tiles,, though I doubt it makes any difference.

Thanks for the reply's, I have a pc that is cream colored and just wanted to make sure. I don't think the women in my house would want to see a grown man crying if something went wrong with my tank

I use some of the clay colored tile they have at the HD store, my cap's and allardi's like spawning on them.
