Time for new M/H bulbs.looking for IDEAS?

I run 2x250W radiums over a 90g and it gives great color and growth. They start out a little whiter than I would like, but when they "burn in" the color is great. IMO. I purchase mine from reef specialty for $71.95 each including shipping. Here is the link:

From what I've seen on Runningstix and Spleify's setups, anything other than Radium on a 250 is a step down. If you go down to 175, the Iwaski 14-15k is amazing in both color and growth.

I've read that radiums need magnetic ballasts to look good. Is this true?

I was under the impression that Radiums would only fire properly with an electronic ballast that can overdrive the bulbs. I went with Galaxy because they have a five year warranty and they are quiet. They are the best bang for the buck IMO.

Just wondering if anybody has tried out the bulbs off eBay. I haven't heard much about them. I think I'm gonna give em a shot
