Hi all.....

I purchased my first coral frags today (single polyp)... dipped them and they are alrdy open and look happy 😊 so my question is how long does it take (on average) for them to start growing multiple polyps? I know water parameters and lighting play a part.... water is testing good and lighting is the stock LED light that came with the evo 13.5. I also bought a small Frag of GSP open and happy....... thanks as always!

There is no one solution fit all, there is too many factors, how long the tank has been running, coral placement, nutrients, trace elements, stability, type of light, coral type. It's different for everyone. Some corals will grow faster than others on average however. Just to gather more information, what are you levels testing, what type of light do you have, how long has your tank been running and what type of coral is it?

So far so good

So far so good

Hey all....
Looking good, my single zoas have some new growth after about 2 weeks.... 1 has 2 New polyps and the other has 1.... my gsp has attached to the rock and looking happy! I'm not sure on the name of them, bought from lfs and were sold as no name zoas so no clue what type they are.... but super excited on the progress so far.

It always varies for me. For a long time I couldn't grow SPS and now all of the frags I have have doubled or tripled in the last 6 months. At other times I've had zoas grow like crazy and lately they have slowed down.
