Time keeps changing to AM instead of going to PM. Screwing up light cycle

Time keeps changing to AM instead of going to PM. Screwing up light cycle.
Ever since I connected my P3 to my home network I have been having this problem. When I leave in the morning I can see my AI sol channels starting there ramp up. Then at noon when the time should go from AM to PM, it goes from 12:59am to 1:00am and my darn lights follow that time profile.....so the tank goes dark. I get home around 4:30pm and the tank shows the time is 4:30am and the lights are off. I can login or plug in through USB and as soon as I change the AM to PM my lights pick up where they should be. But I shouldn't have to screw with this everyday. Any idea how to fix this? I'd be ok going to a 24 hour time scale, is that an option or will that fix this problem? Kind of have a lot if $ in corals in the tank and don't want this happening. What should I do?

Best guess would be that you have not set the software to work on PC time, this is set under general tab in the software. Other than that in illumination set up you have the am and pm set the wrong way round. This is changed in the illumination dialgue box where you set the dimming curve time and dimming %

Of course make sure your pc time is correct also.

I have been clicking the "use pc time" button before connecting. But, I just connected again through tcp/ip and this time I clicked the "use pc time" after I connected. I then exited, waited a few minutes and logged back on and it seems to have worked. I guess I'll know for sure tomorrow when I get home.

Off topic, but any news on an iPad app for Profilux 3 users?

NOPE, woke up at 3am and went to the living room to find my tank at full light. I logged in through Internet to find time shown as 3pm. I clicked "use pc time" and the lights went out, but this is getting pretty annoying. Would the radio controlled clock option be better. I hope I don't continue to have to deal with this. Please advise...

TIME STILL CHANGING FROM AM TO PM! I'm extremely angry. I set the time manually through the P3. I set it to 9:15am. I left it alone for 15 minutes and came back to find it had changed to 21:30 (9:30pm). When is set the time do I set "int time"? Can someone look at there P3 and go through the menu and tell me what the hell is wrong with this thing. I do controls and data acquisition programming as part of my job, and to still be screwing with this is just ridiculous.

Time is JUNK on this thing. I just reset the time again, then sat in front of it for about 20 minutes and watched it go from 10:18 to 22:18 what now? I guess I could just alter all my lighting to work around whatever the hell time this thing wants to be on.....lousy solution to an annoying problem

It is doing the light cycle like it is supposed to, but the time on the controller shows 22:25. Any ideas? I want so badly to keep this controller and add the Touch to it, but dang it I have to have faith in it first. Lighting looks like its doing the right thing, but display shows incorrect time.

I have answered on the support forum no point repeating answers, please reply to my posts there for better support thanks

Wow, not very polite are we....sorry if it bothers you that I am pointing out a less than desirable flaw in my Profilux 3. How can you honestly expect people to buy and trust your controllers if they can not trust them to do something as simple as keep correct time? I know even the best systems can have defects or bugs, but no need to be rude.

I noticed I am using 5.11 firmware....do you think updating this would at least be a good place to start. That is what I am thinking, but you are more familiar with the hardware and software in the p3.... Not trying to argue or degrade the GHL products, I've heard only great things about them and just want mine to behave as its intended. Thanks for any words of advice you can give.

Hi,

I am very sorry my reply was not meant to be unpolite, or toned that way, the written word many times on forums seem to read in the tone of the person reading them. My reply was brief as I was shooting out the door with my wife and wanted to direct you to the correct support forum and more importantly make you 100% assured we are looking into your issue on the correct support site as RC no longer caters for support cases and we have completely duplicate threads going on which can delay any corrective answer.

I have posted all replies here for you

No problem bud, I'm sure I took it the wrong way because I was frustrated and probably jumped to the WRONG conclusion. I will try the firmware update and see how it goes. I will also try and write down my exact steps to make sure I can duplicate the problem. Hopefully I am just overlooking something simple. Thanks for your help on this....I will keep this topic on the support forum from now on.

Thanks again

Randy
