time settings for the 6055

I've had the 6055 for a couple months now(haven't set it up yet because the 6045 I'm using in its place works great, and I'm lazy) and it's finally time for me to start using it. I have a couple questions first that I'm sure Roger will help me with.
First, what voltage should it be at? It came set at 20v, I just want to know if I should leave it at that or switch it.
Next I would like some ideas on what to set the controller at. The tank is a 46g bowfront with a mag7 return, and a 6025. The 6025 comes on & off w/ the actinics and the 6045 came on & off w/ the halide. I just wanted some ideas on what settings to use, when to use the pulse function, etc? I've never owned an electronically controlled pump and would like some ideas, tips, etc. I have the tunze single controller for the pump and the photo-cell. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks,

the voltage selector determines the ultimate speed of the pump. I have 2 6055's in my 90 and keep the volatage at 24 volts. I keep them turned up all the way.

There is no set speed for any tank. I would experiment with the speed setting and set it at what looks best for your tank and critters.
