Had water tested today, no ammonia and touch of nitrite. Is it OK to add a CUC to tank?

negative. not till you are in the nitrate phase.

Should I add something to create ammonia for bacteria to eat? With no ammonia am worried the bacteria will die back?

please read the sticky on how to cycle a tank.

as for bacteria dying off how did you cycle in the first place?

what are your current tank parameters size of tank and filtration system?

how long have you been cycling?

This is first cycle. 94litre aquarium, with 10kg live rock, 4kg of substrate. Heater, and 2 way pump. No mechanical filtration, got live rock rubble in back part of tank, and added a purigen net today. Got nano skimmer but not running at moment.

Just keep waiting until both ammonia and nitrites are zero...
There is absolutely NO need to add more ammonia.. The existing bacteria will not just die off.
