Time to ask for some help

Ah ok, I don't really have the means to cure it out of tank, so that's out. Thinking of tossing some chaeto in there instead, since my tank is barebottom and oriented sort of peninsula style the light goes through the bottom of my tank and through the slot where the return and overflow was supposed to sit originally mid tank on my stand and lights up my sump somewhat, so I wouldn't even have to get a light for it.

Same problem here man. By all accounts everything is fine in my tank but colors are not popping at all, things are very drab. I seem to recall this starting when I started to use GFO so I recently removed it and will run without GFO for a month to see if there is a difference or not. I am also changing from 400w Radium 20ks to 400w Ushio 14ks

I'm a student living in a small 2 bedroom apartment, I already have one water mixing station with a big rubbermaid, I don't really have a place for another one and I dont know if it would even be worth it if I did.
