im still trying to figure out the camera. each shot is different but yet of the same things......
i hope this helps. (it sucks because most of my corals are frags and 55% dont show up good on camera.)

Yea I hear ya my camera is not the best as well, good to see the tank getting some good use, thanks for the update.

i will try to get a friend to bring his Digital Camera over and i will get some updates. (my 35mm and I just arnt getting along.) not to mention it takes so long to go through a roll of film and get them developed.

Cool, I look forward to it. Don't let me burden you, it's just that everybody else's tanks fuels my aquarium dream (piecing mine together, piece by piece):).

with those halides are you planning to do sps?

most of my corals are hard corals. they are mostly starter corals..... lots of 5$ frags. (thats why its hard to see them in the pictures.)
i have a lot of monti's a few birdsnest, some MISC acros and stags. a bonzi and some others that i have no idea what they are.

i do have 2 candycane corals a large xenia rock and zoas are all i have.

i will try to get some close ups of what i have. (other wise you wont see them.)

do you have a build thread started? what are your tank specs and equipment that you have so far??

Congratulations...

Congratulations...

I am pleased that the old UCO tank found a good home. It looks much better now than it had for several years at the University. My memory was that it had become the premier aiptasia farm in the Southwest. It looks like it's filled with love now.

I'll be tagging along to see how it develops for you...

No, I don't have a thread started...yet, but I will. I just recently got my computer and I'm enjoying it's capabilities. Now I don't have to seek a peek on Reef Central during my breaks or whenever I can when I'm at work :D.
I would start one, its just that I can only buy equipment so far and in-between the next. I wouldn't be able to hold an audience long if I did :hmm3:. I plan on getting all the equipment that I need to set it up, then start the thread for additional guidance and to share. Not to mention I just got my computer.
My tank is 150 gallon by all-glass measuring 72x18x29. I have 2-25watt U.V. sterilizers, the old sausage types from Aquanetic (tubes aren't sleeved). 2-Lifegard heating modules with 2-300watt visi-therm heaters. 1-canister ocean clear filter; don't worry I might not use it, or just plumb it in line to administer any carbon when needed. I have a Korallin calcium reactor with the 5 gallon CO2 plus the dual-gauge CO2 regulator. I also order the calcium reactor to come with a different top so I can use an American Marine PH controller in it. 1 Iwaki 55RLT for the main pump. 1-Aqua C EV-180 skimmer. I'm going with a mag 9.5 pump on the skimmer, just in case. My sump was custom made to my specifications by Aquatic Design Habitats Inc.
In the overflow areas of the tank, I'm going to put SCWD (non-electric wave devices) coupled with Pacific Coast Flow Accelerators on its outlet ports. That bout sums it up. I'm currently saving for a pair of Vortecs with the battery backup. In the mean time I've been viewing everyone else threads for info on there lighting systems. I must agree with The Grim Reefer on the ATI fixtures, but I'm still open, especially since the technology is changing so fast in the LED arena.
Man, did you see the LED fixtures on Chingchai's frag tank :eek2:! The light fixtures will be the last piece of equipment to buy $$$$
Well dahenley you had me going. But you did ask :D.

CARDO, you need to start now. it will be a slow build, but if you do like i did and rush..... you will regret it. i wish i would have taken my time and posted everything a little at a time. the audience will always be here!!

start up a thread and ask for input. you dont always have to have pictures. ask and go along a little at a time. you will be more happy that way.

everyone was asking for pictures.. i had a friend bring a DSLR camera over. he took some snap shots and should be posting them later today or this week. (depends on how busy he is)
