Tinker's Butterflyfish Compatibility

Hello,

I'm hoping I can get some input on adding a Tinker's Butterflyfish to my tank.

I am expecting delivery of a Tinker's Butterflyfish (2.5-inches) and I am concerned about it getting along with my Yellow Eye Kole Tang (3-inches) and my Potter's Angelfish (2.5-inches).

The Tinker will be quarantined before putting it in to the main tank.

My options are the following:

1. Put it into the main tank and hope for the best.
2. Move the rock work around before putting it in the main tank. (Would like to avoid this option since I am very happy with my rock layout).
3. Remove the Tang and/or Angelfish temporarily from the tank. Once the BF is comfortable in the main tank, re-introduce the Tang/Angelfish back in to the tank.
4. Option 3 but also move the rock work around. (Again, I really like my layout).

Any advice would be welcomed.

Thank you.

i would put the fish through a standard QT protocol, get it eating, get it healthy and recovered from its trip, then use an acclimation box to help gently introduce the fish to the rest of the group.

time in the acclimation box varies for me, but usually i go 2 - 7 days depending on the fish, and how everyone else seems to receive them.

Good advice. You will know early on how the tank mates will receive it without incurring risk.
