Tiny air bubbles in my tank

I've had my 180 set up for a couple of weeks now and I c an't seem to figure out where all of these tiny bubbles are coming from. I thought they were coming from my corner flow adjustable air nozzles. I figures that since they stick above the water line a little, air may be sucking into the pipe. I changed the adjustable jets for solid 1" pvc, but the air is still in my system. I have to 1000gph inline pumps returning the water. I can't seem to figure it out. I am n ow wondering if the air is just in the water from my bioball area. Is that possible?

Just to clarify, these bubbles are not actually large air bubbles you can pop. They are just tiny little dots, maybe the size of a needle points. They seem to be heavier up higher in my tank. You also can not see any bubbles coming out with the return water.

I really want my water to be crystal clear. I would prefer to get them out of my tank. Any suggestions??

Your pumps may be cavatating , also make sure that the intakes are not smaller than recommended for the pumps. In fact i'd make them larger. I had a similar problem and solved it by replacing all the pvc with Spa flex .

most likely airbubbles of that size usually come from the pump. Keep water level consitant and make sure that the return from your skimmer is not close the the intake of your return pump.
Also a venturi can be created on the intake of the water pump try and intake elbow on the return pump.

Thanks for the replies. I have not yet hooked up my protein skimmer. I do agree however that its probably with my pumps. Do you think if I changed my pumps from inline to submersed, it would help? I am also thinking that may make them a bit more quiet.

Thanks again for any help.
