Tiny Gobies in the Diver's Den?

Hello,

In the past there have been great examples of the <1" Trimma, Eviota, Parioglossus gobies for sale in the DD, but I haven't seen any in quite some time. Are these seasonal? Is there a lack of interest in them? How about Bryaninops spp.? Should we expect any of these in the near future?

Much obliged,
Matt

Matt_Wandell,

Thank you for your post. We are checking with our Aquaculture Coral & Marine Life Facility regarding the species you are inquiring about. We will post that information when it is available for you.

Matt,

I apologize for the delay in responding. Tiny nano gobies are available from time to time, and we should start to see a more diverse selection available soon.

Due to their tiny size, the majority of these fishes are very challenging to successfully handle for most collectors, exporters, and importers in the chain of custody. Combine this with the fact that a good number of these fishes have very short life spans, some no more than a year, the demand is simply not that great.

With the holidays over, we should hopefully start to see a larger variety of nano type fishes available from certain exporters. I will do my best to obtain some of the not so common species so that we may offer them in the Diver's Den®.

Happy Fishkeeping!
