Does anyone have any experience with tiny orange snails or bugs? I noticed they were moving today, much like a snail. They are the size of a pencil tip.
I had a 40B that had them. Like Brandon said, canary wrasse ( yellow corris wrasse) ravaged them. I still have the FlatWorm Exit in my drawer. If that is the route you want to go let me know.
I have had a few mandarins eat them also if your tank is big enouph to feed him and also be careful with FWE. I know people can nuke there tank with it and kill everything. I had them in a 5 gallon and as they died off from the FWE I had a air line tube and sucked them out by the gob before they nuked the tank with there dead juice! A air tube works great since it pulls the FW's but not much water just be cAreful not to stop it up with rocks and sand.
Unfortunately, my tank is only 24 gallons. Though, I have plenty of pods, I'm not sure that I would be able to sustain the population with a mandarin in there.
I had them BAAAAD and I agree with what folks are saying; I think Flat Worm Exit is more trouble than it's worth. I got a yellow corris wrasse and a scooter blenny, both of which will eat them. It was interesting to watch. At first I did not think they were working but then after about a week small sections of rock would be clear of them and then it was like a wave across the tank. This was probably 6 months ago and both fish are still doing fine. With the size of your tank you may want to consider a small scooter.
Pull one small rock out of the water and dip it in fresh water. They will all fall off. If it is the most foul smell you can imagine then you have flatworms. Lots of reading on RC about it but I would say just dont use flat worm exit untill you have almost all of them gone. there will be 50 for every one you see.
