Tiny Red Clam

I just discovered a tiny (1/2 dime size) clam with a ruby red shell on a piece of rock. The rock has a small leather frag on it, and I've moved it two or three times recently trying to get it situated -- anyway, the clam (or scallop or ?) wasn't there before today.
Anybody ever have small hitchiker clams? Any info would be appreciated.

Hello? Has no one ever had a small hitchhiker clam? Should I consider it just a cool hitchhiker? Are there potential problems?

Any bivalves we might come across in our tanks are strictly filter feeders. Consider it a cool hitchiker, and if it spawns, a source of food for your tank!

Very cool! My tank has been set up for nearly 10 months. Started with 45lbs of Fiji LR, but I've added about another 40lbs from various sources since then. Haven't added any in two or three months, but I just noticed this little bivalve a couple of days ago. I'm also starting to notice several little white serpent stars.
This hobby is amazing.
