Tiny White Creatures During Cycling?

After about a week of cycling I have started to see some tiny white critters moving about on the glass and overflow tubes. They are so small I can barely see them (even with my glasses off). There is a whole group of them even smaller that I can see against the black overflow. This was the best shot I could get and you can only see a few of the larger ones. Any idea what they could be?

probably copepods. they are usually the first signs of life you will see. completely harmless, and fish love to eat them. theres many kinds of pods you may end up seeing. check this page for an idea along with other creatures you may see.

My tank has been cycling about 3 weeks...The swimmers became visible when I had all the pumps shut down and the water was still. Quite fascinating actually. I have a 5" magnifying glass that I've been using to look around in there. Where I thought I had only one feather duster, I began to see scads of them when I began to look close.
