Tips For Keeping A RBTA

I just purchased a RBTA and i was wondering if anyone has any tips to help me keep it alive and healthy! THANKS!

I've had my RBTA a few months now. It wandered around for awhile looking lost so I placed it on a rock that had a little crevice for it's foot. Then it was happyand actually bubbled for a few days but did move a little closer to the current. Looks like some current to bring it food and a crevice for it's foot in addition to being near the lights (my guy is at the bottom of the top 1/3rd) seems to make it happy. I feed it twice a week because its small and I want it to grow. Generally I give it a good chunk of oyster or silver fish altho' lately I read silver fish can be a little dangerous to feed due to possible bacteria on the skin. I have two clown in quarantine waiting to hopefully host the RBTA. I have had no issues with it and it has been an easy keeper so far for me.

Put it in and forget about it. If its unhappy where it ends up it will move on its own. Moving it around will only cause it more stress then its already going through being in a different environment. It will do fine if you have a healthy system.

I would turn off any powerheads you have for a few days until it finds a spot that it likes and secures itself, as well as watch out if you have clowns. They may annoy it while its adjusting otherwise let it do its thing!

What about flow in the tank for those few days...also, once you turn the powerheads back on, chances are it will move to adjust to new conditions.

It may but I'd rather be cautious and let it secure itself than get pulled into a powerhead and turn into a rbta smoothie. He could also cover them with something like pantyhose or mesh to prevent this.
